Next year's calendar will feature brand new venues, reimagined classics and an expanded E-bike series with the Blue Derby trails getting to enjoy a global spotlight for the third time.
Enduro Tasmania was a ground-breaking event when it first visited Derby in early 2017. Helping to create the juggernaut that the Blue Derby project has become, both the 2017 and the 2019 return received the highest acclaim by winning the trail of the year award.
Race director Ian Harwood, from Event Management Solutions Australia, thanked the Tasmanian government for their continued support.
"Without the support of Events Tasmania, we would not be able to showcase the best riders in the world, taking on the best trails in the world," he said.
"As the North-East continues to boom, through mountain bike tourism we are excited to show the world the benefits of this continued investment in the region."
The 2019 edition of Enduro Tasmania saw 5000 spectators cheering the riders on.
In 2021, the schedule will be expanded into a more inclusive multi-day festival with a dedicated kids event, E-bike races with the Derb-E and an expanded line-up of entertainment.
Set to host round two, Derby has embraced mountain biking and in just a few years created one of the most iconic destinations in Australia.
The season will get underway in New Zealand in March, visiting Nelson for the first time in the series' history, with subsequent rounds in the Tweed Valley, Scotland; Val Di Fassa in Italy; Vermont's Burke Mountain in the US; California's Northstar before the EWS will crown its champions in the sport's spiritual home of France at Loudenvielle in the Vallee Du Louron.
And there's still one of the largest events of the year - the Trophy of Nations in Finale Ligure, Italy.
This celebration of the sport sees industry, rider and nation trophies up for grabs set against the stunning backdrop of the Italian Riviera.
