Back in Northern Bombers colours after a season at George Town, the four-time North Launceston premiership player hasn't missed a beat since returning to UTAS Stadium late last year.
The 26-year-old bricklayer looks in tip-top shape ahead of the April 10 season opener against Launceston - the same team he kicked six goals against in round 1, 2018 - and feels none the worse from a stint back at his junior NTFA club.

"I'm feeling pretty good," Burt said.
"Obviously getting back into things, it's a step up from NTFA level but I think being here the previous years I realised what I was in for again and I'm really enjoying it.
"I had that base fitness from when I was here before so it's probably pretty handy compared to someone coming straight in off the bat."
Lining up for the Saints for the first time in eight seasons, the son of George Town president Lynette managed 28 goals in 16 games to win the club's goalkicking award.
The former Port Dalrymple and Launceston College student slotted six majors in a best-on-ground performance against Rocherlea in round one and finished best-and-fairest runner-up behind fellow ex-Bomber Corey Nankervis.
Burt hopes to bring a piece of his 12 months at George Town to the TSL club where he is just three games off receiving life membership.
MORE FOOTBALL:
"Just going back and playing where I grew up with high school mates and back with some family and friends there was really good," he said.
"The enjoyment the boys have there on and off the field was unbelievable, so if I could bring a bit of that up here and do some stuff outside of footy to bring the boys together that'd be good."
Despite enjoying success as a defender in the last half of 2018, Burt hopes to grace the other end of the ground in his first year back at North.
"Hopefully Taylor [Whitford] doesn't throw me back again, hopefully he can fit me in the forward line somewhere," Burt joked.
"There's some good players there like Tom Bennett and Jacko Callow and Bill Edmunds and big Bart [McCulloch] so hopefully there's some room there."
