The timeline of the $20 million redevelopment, including an eight-bed dedicated adolescent mental health unit, was initially due to be completed in October last year.
It was later revealed it had been necessary to delay works, with completion pushed back to the first quarter of 2020.
A government spokesman said the redevelopment was now on track to be completed in April.

"While this is a couple of weeks after it was initially anticipated, in the interests of minimising disruption to patient care during construction there have been occasions where it has been necessary to delay works, particularly around the demolition phase," the spokesman said.
"As the Ward 4K redevelopment is occurring around an operational part of the hospital, the wellbeing and needs of patients will always take precedence over building works.
"There continues to be significant progress with window installation and plaster completed, joinery continues to be installed as well as fitting off of various fixtures, including door hardware, hand basins, tapware, toilets and associated items."
Construction works for the broader Ward 4K precinct are expected to be completed by the end of 2020.
The Launceston General Hospital master plan, aimed at setting out the infrastructure requirements for the next 50 years of health service delivery in Northern Tasmania, is also expected to be completed by May.
