Spreyton trainer Michael Trinder is looking to create more family history when he saddles up favourite Toorak Affair in Wednesday's $250,000 Launceston Cup.

No member of his famous family has ever trained the winner of Northern Tasmania's premier race, although his father Ray owned 1967 winner San Sebastian.
"San Sebastian was trained by Casey Quinn who had stables at the bottom of the Mowbray hill," Michael Trinder recalled.
Earlier this month, Trinder became the first member of his family - son Adam is also a leading trainer - to win a Hobart Cup.
Toorak Affair blitzed her rivals in that race and now meets a similar field carrying a higher weight.
"If she brings her A game, she will win again," Trinder said.
"But I'm not as confident as I was before the Hobart Cup.
"She's quite OK - her work on Saturday morning was excellent and she was lovely and free in her action again today (Tuesday).
"My only concern is that she's coming to the end of her preparation so I'd put my confidence level at 95 per cent."
Toorak Affair has had eight starts since mid-October and won six of them.
That concern aside, Trinder believes the mare is well placed to earn connections a $100,000 bonus for completing the major cups double.
"She goes up 3kg on her Hobart Cup weight but I think she got into that race far too light for a horse with her record," he said.
"Most of the other top chances go up 1kg anyway.
"And, the roomy track at Mowbray suits her."
Toorak Affair will again be ridden by Victorian jockey Anthony Darmanin who won the race in 2012 on the David and Scott Brunton-trained Prevailing.
