The tournament is being held at Ulverstone Golf Club from Thursday, February 27, through to Sunday, March 1.
It will be the 88th men's and 46th women's (Elvie Whiteside) championships played alongside the fourth running of the Tasmanian Senior Masters.
Golf Tasmania chairman Georgette Chilcott thanked Ulverstone and its members for the use of their "excellent course and facilities".
"The continued format of the Open events emphasises the quality of amateur golf in Australia and as such this championship will again be equal to any national trial event held for Australian selection," she said.
"Both events hold Australian National Ranking and R&A World amateur ranking point status."
Chilcott also stressed that tournaments such as this would not be possible without the support of dedicated volunteers.
