Stephen Ross, Martin Renilson and Douglas James fly old air force training planes in formation.
For them the event was a good chance to get some practice in.
"It is a good opportunity to do a practice flight," Mr Ross said.
He keeps his plane at George Town airport and is happy to wheel it out to help support the fundraising efforts.

"This is one of the last if not the last fully Australian designed and built aircraft," Mr Ross said.
"If you joined the air force the first plane you would walk up to in those days was the Winjeel."
The group were only doing a practice flight but still managed to draw a crowd due to the loud nature of their aircraft.
"We just fly for ourselves," Mr Renilson, who flies an ex-Russian air force training plane, said.
He said nothing is left to chance even in practice.
"Nothing goes to chance, we check everything," he said.
"We do quite a thorough briefing whenever we go flying."
Douglas James is the only one in the group who is a commercial pilot, which means he can take people for paid flights in his ex-Chinese military training plane.
"It is what the Chinese air force trained their fighter pilots in," he said.
"They were still using this design up until last year."
"It is meant to simulate a jet in its handling."
George Town Rotary Club president Heather Ashley said she wanted to thank everyone who contributed to the annual event.
She said the event was one of their biggest fundraisers and by the looks of the car park the turnout was amazing.
