The match of the week came from midweek pennant, however, as Lilydale and Bridport in Division 3 finished up a 56-all draw as all three rinks drew with one another - a feat not often seen.
The Saturday Premier League action had several important matches with all results impacting both the relegation battle and the fight for top four.
Trevallyn bounced back after their nail-biting loss to East Launceston to record an all rinks, 35 shot victory over North Launceston to continue their push towards the top two.
Lachie Sims and his rink lead the way for the Thunder as they stormed home to win by 21 shots against Jeffrey Miller.
Rodney Murray was excellent as he finds his feet in unfamiliar territory as the rink's lead.
Scott Summers' rink never looked to be troubled as they recorded a nine shot win over Nick Webb with David Heron rock solid in the second position.
Jaymen Sutton was best on ground for Michael Sims' rink as they endured a hard fought match against Mark Jones with the result going the way of Sims by five to secure the full 12 points.
Cosgrove Park played host to bottom of the ladder Westbury - the result having huge complications for the relegation battle.
Les Watts, aided by Wayne Hadley, got the visitors off to a good start as they won by seven shots against Byron Slater who has been hard to beat on home soil.
Unfortunately for Westbury it was downhill from there as Julian Frost agonisingly went down by a solitary shot to Wayne Foster while Anthony Lowery was beaten by 14 by Kane Walker who has found his way into a purple patch of late.
Scott Stagg was the best on ground for the Cosgrove Park outfit, the 14 shot rink win and subsequent 12 shot overall win largely owed to him.
The loss for Westbury makes their lives hard in the battle to drag themselves off the bottom of the ladder as they face Trevallyn and Invermay to finish the season - two teams fighting for a top two finish.
Kings Meadows took the visiting Longford indoors in a bid to keep their top 4 dreams alive but unfortunately for them it wasn't to be.
Shane Gurr attempted to put the hopes of Kings Meadows on his shoulders as he defeated star skip Daniel Baker by 11.
The margin was quickly reduced, however as Jarrod Howard won by ten over Chris Davern.
Mark Strochnetter continued his rich vein of form as he sealed the deal for Longford with a six shot win over the number one player in the competition Shane Davern.
The result sees Longford firmly on top while Kings Meadows struggles to keep up with the top four.
