Police charged the pair with a string of firearm offences on Friday.
They did not enter pleas when they represented themselves in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Friday. Both men applied for bail and after a brief hearing - which media outlets are banned from reporting on in Tasmania - Magistrate Simon Brown refused the pair's application.
Mr Parker wept as he was remanded in custody.
Magistrate Brown adjourned the case and the men are due to reappear in court on Monday.
