A man reportedly entered the High Street business about 10am and produced a weapon.
He then directed a staff member to open a safe before leaving on foot with a significant amount of cash, police say.
The man is described as being 187 centimetres tall with a very slim build, a distinctive scar on his nose, which is crooked and/or potentially broken.
In other news:
The man was wearing a dark-coloured hooded jumper and carrying a shopping bag.
Police believe he left Evandale in a green, older-style Holden Commodore.
Anyone who was in the Evandale area on Wednesday between 9.45am and 10.15am and who has dash-cam or other footage is asked to submit it through the evidence portal.
