A woodheater is believed to have triggered a fire which destroyed a home at Myrtle Bank on Wednesday night.

Emergency services crews were called to the Myrtle Bank Road property about 9.20pm when the home was found almost completely engulfed by fire.
A woman who suffered smoke inhalation, after she tried to go back into the burning house to rescue pets, was taken to hospital as a precaution..
The other occupants of the house got out of the house safely.
A Tasmania Fire Service investigation conducted on Thursday found the fire was an accident believed to started in the lounge room and been caused by a woodheater.

Three TFS crews from Launceston, St Patrick's River and Ravenswood were called to put the fire out.
The blaze prompted TFS fire investigator David Ransome to remind community members of steps they can take to reduce the risk of their homes catching on fire.

- Install working smoke alarms in every sleeping area and hallway, including at the top of staircases.
- Create and practice a home fire escape plan, so if a fire does start, everyone in the household knows what to do.
- Keep clothing and other flammable materials at least two metres from heaters and any radiant heat.
