NTFA under-18 representative coach and Hillwood premiership assistant Jake Lowe has signed on as bench coach for this season under new full-time leader Jake Laskey.
Having coached the Saints for three seasons from 2013 onwards, the 27-year-old joins several arrivals from the Sharks including brother-in-law Brad Dikkenberg and ruckman Jye Balym.
"I always wanted to get myself back in the door, but somewhere where I could still work around work and family," Lowe said.
"When Jake gave me a call the perfect opportunity arose.
"I loved the club when I was there and still had really good connections to it over the years through friends and work, so it was a perfect opportunity given they were successful as well and not too far off the mark last year."
The "second or third cousin" of Hillwood premiership boss Nathan Lowe is in his 10th year of coaching after first taking up the role as an 18-year-old.
Set to turn 28 in April, Lowe said he might trot out in the reserves on occasion this season, but was happy to be spending most of his time manning the clipboard.
"My primary focus will be to help Jake out and assist him where he needs it and the club," he said.
"That's probably what I enjoy more, coaching rather than playing."
