The Launceston woman who has been quarantined on the Diamond Princess for two weeks will likely be evacuated to Darwin.
Alana Hoskinson posted on her Facebook page that the ship's captain had informed passengers that anyone who had tested negative for the coronavirus would be allowed to disembark on February 19.
Of 3,700 passengers and crew onboard the cruise ship, 355 have tested positive for the coronavirus: a new, highly infectious strain of virus that originated in the Wuhan province of China.
At least 16 Australian passengers have tested positive.
Those that tested negative will be evacuated to a quarantine facility in Darwin, it is reported, with Northern Territory officials briefed about the move on Sunday.
