If you thought weddings were only about genteel celebrations, get ready for a bridal show(down) unlike any other.
From Feb 27 to March 1, Tamar Valley Resort will hold the Wedding Warrior competition, seeing five couples from northern Tasmania go head-to-head in a battle to win a $20,000 wedding.
With the stakes high, and daily competitions that range from rubik's cube contests to instruction-free flat-pack races, this is sure to be a weekend not to miss.
Hosted by Chilli FM, this fun - and hilarious - competition is guaranteed to be a weekend of high entertainment said marketing and sales manager Sarah Cannell.
"We've reduced all the entries down to five couples, and now they're set to go head-to-head over four days to win a $20,000 wedding, which will be awarded during our Wedding Open Day held on the Sunday," Sarah said.
"Points will be awarded from both the activities they take part in during the competition and from a public voting system; so people need to get on board to vote for their favourite couple" she said.
This year's competition will see events kick off from 8am and continue until after dinner, before the winner's announcement on Sunday.
"One of our favourite events is the human chicken schnitzel where one partner is blindfolded and the other has to guide them through a swimming pool full of egg, and then breadcrumbs, until they're a giant schnitzel," Sarah said.
"It's hilarious, so much fun and kicks off at the restaurant on Friday from 7:30pm. The best way to see it is to book a table at the restaurant, and that way you'll pretty much get dinner and a show."
The free 'Wedding Open Day' will be held at Tamar Valley Resort, 7 Waldhorn Drive, Grindelwald Sunday March 1 from 9am-1pm.
Tickets can be reserved ahead of time at launcestontickets.com.au.
