David Buchanan, 64, pleaded guilty to 19 counts of failing to comply with tax requirements when he faced Launceston Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The SoundTech audiovisual business owner never lodged nine income tax returns between 2007 and 2017.
He also never lodged 10 GST returns and accumulated a tax debt of more than $130,000.
"I knew this day would have to come," Buchanan told Magistrate Ken Stanton.
"I just feel stupid."
Magistrate Stanton said Buchanan had no prior convictions and made efforts to right his wrongs "at significant cost in one lump sum".
"You fixed the problem, albeit late," Magistrate Stanton told Buchanan.
"Fixing the problem indicates remorse as does your pleas of guilty."
