According to City Mission chief executive Stephen Brown, the truck can carry a load twice that of the other trucks in the charity's fleet due to its height.
"Many programs within City Mission rely on the funding derived from our Mission shops," he said.
"The shops are hugely reliant on our transport and logistics team to support them. The new 11-tonne truck will allow us to transport more and larger items with ease, servicing our shops and client services better than ever before.
"It will also be a fantastic asset to our Moving with the Mission program."
