Heecha Launceston is the latest venture of the Ding Sing Chinese restaurant owner Sam Pang, who also runs a bubble tea business in Hobart.
He said the bubble tea sold at his business is based off the incredibly popular Heytea bubble tea brand in China.
"It's not your basic bubble tea," he said.
"It's very popular in China now, they have more than 500 stores ... it's a very basic bubble and fruit tea, it's very healthy.

Mr Pang said it was good to bring a Heytea franchise to Launceston, and that reception so far had been really good.
"Yeah it's [reception] not too bad we've had a lot of customers come back," he said.
"We sell about 100-200 drinks every day."
