Multiple shots were fired through the Chifley Street home late Monday night, smashing windows in an incident police have described as a targeted attack.
Nobody was in the home at the time and nearby residents witnessed offenders leaving the area in a dark-coloured sedan about 11.30pm.
Shell casings were found at the scene, but no firearm.
The shooting comes three weeks after a drive-by at Longford, where a bullet went through a bedroom window in another targeted attack.
Monday night's shooting also follows two firearm-related incidents in Launceston last week.
A 20-year-old man at Rocherlea was found with a gunshot wound to the torso on Wednesday night, while a 22-year-old man arrived at the Launceston General Hospital earlier that afternoon with a bullet wound to the groin.
Investigating detectives believe both injuries were "self-inflicted" and due to the "accidental discharge of altered and dangerous firearms".
Launceston CIB Detective Inspector Craig Fox said while there had been a short-term spike in firearm-related crimes in the past few weeks, none of the incidents were random attacks.
"We don't want the public to be alarmed, it is still extremely concerning, but these are targeted attacks, and involve a small group of people that chose to live this type of lifestyle," he said.
"The residents inside the Kings Meadows address are known to police, and we can assure the public it's not a random act of firearms violence."
Both Monday night's shooting and the shooting at Longford remain under investigation.
"The difficulty in these types of crimes is our victims are unable to provide police with information about the identities of the offenders," Detective Inspector Fox said.
At this stage, police do not believe any of the shootings are linked.
Anyone with information about the incident at Kings Meadows or Longford should contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000.
