Alan David Golledge, 48, of Launceston, pleaded guilty to one count of maintaining a sexual relationship with a young person and did not dispute any of the facts put to the court by the Crown.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Crown prosecutor Allison Shand told Justice Robert Pearce that Golledge had committed nearly a dozen counts of indecent assault and indecent acts with a young person.
In a victim impact statement the complainant said Golledge had messed up her life.
"He would preach Christian values and the Bible at the same time as he was abusing me," she said in a statement read to the court by Ms Shand.
The court heard that Golledge sent nude photos of the girl and sexualised chat to her classmates without her knowledge causing embarrassment and resulting in her being shunned at school.
"Alan ruined my childhood and now he is ruining my life because I can't make it go away," she said.
Ms Shand said Golledge had committed the gravest breach of trust, and displayed brazenness and arrogance.
She said he had groomed the girl and exercised a level of control over her.
When his behaviour had been reported to police he threatened the girl saying "you're going to hate tomorrow".
Ms Shand said that even on the day that his employment was terminated he had asked her for "one more time".
She said he was very proficient with technology which enabled him to cause the deletion of pornographic images despite his iPhone and iPad being in police custody.
Mr Golledge was unrepresented by defence counsel despite urging from Justice Pearce that he secure a lawyer.
He said a 25-year career of working in community service had come to an end.
Justice Pearce remanded Golledge in custody for sentence on February 19 at 4.15pm.
