Customers can come to the PETstock store and mingle with some snugly guinea pigs, before being referred to the RSPCA Centre on Invermay Road where they can help give other guinea pigs a furever home.
PETstock manager Kate Donald said she was happy to show her own adopted guinea pigs and hoped it would encourage others.
RSPCA centre manager Lauren Chenhall said guinea pigs need to be adopted in pairs so they don't get lonely.
"No guinea pig will go home by itself, they're all bonded. It's $100 per adoption, they've all been de-sexed, microchipped and mite-treated as well," she said.
