Joking that bowlers "may as well come to the Hurricanes" if opportunities aren't welcome at their clubs following to the rise and recruitment of Nathan Ellis, Scott Boland and James Faulkner, the 32-year-old thanked the trio for their outstanding contributions this season.
"I hadn't seen too much of him [Ellis] before but Griffo [Adam Griffith] mentioned at the end of last year that he was keen to have him hang around and be a part of the squad," Wade said

"I think it's amazing to see what he's been able to produce but not only him, Scott Boland's come down and hasn't played a lot of BBL and what we've been able to get out of him and even Jimmy Faulkner, he's come from the Stars a couple of years ago to come down.
"We seem to be getting the best out of them and they're performing really well for us - it's a testament to the hard work and coaching that's going into them."
Identified by recruiting staff as fits to the program, the trio - alongside Tom Rogers - have been impressive throughout the Big Bash League with Ellis being selected alongside Wade in cricket.com.au's team of the tournament.
The skipper described the form and inclusion of the players as "no fluke."
"Obviously we've identified those guys that got them in and put the work into them and they've put the work in themselves and been able to not only play games for us but be contributors.
"Obviously James is a huge part of what we are doing and Scott's last nine games since he started playing have been huge for us as well, Ellis on top of that, Tom Rogers we got down from NSW, we've put work in and Griffo has put work into those guys."
Primed and ready for Thursday night's home-ground semi-final against Sydney Thunder, the Hurricanes have welcomed Simon Milenko back into the 13-man squad with Caleb Jewell missing out.
Milenko, who has played nine matches and scored 68 runs, comes in off a strong second XI T20 tournament performance last week in Queensland.
