Launceston Horticultural Society's Norma Purton said this week's show will largely focus on dahlias, liliums, gladiolus and begonias.

She also said this year's summer show has the honour of being opened by known flower lover Governor of Tasmania Professor Kate Warner AC.
"The Governor is our patron and she'll be opening the show at 2.30pm on Saturday," Ms Purton said.
"We set up the show on Saturday morning and the judging is done followed by the grand opening."
Ms Purton said the unpredictable weather has been less than optimal for growers, however she expects great blooms to be on display this weekend.
