Breaking through for their first one-day title in 38 years last campaign, the Shamrocks finished top of this season's GNC table to earn a home final.
Murfet's batting prowess should be covered by the return of Raiders pair Jake Williams and Ollie Wood, however, Chapman said his keeper's leadership would be missed.
"There is a little bit more to think about [as captain]," Chapman said.
"I think Twig does a really good job of it and if I have to step up and do it in his place while he's away then so be it - I'll lean off a couple of the more experienced guys as well, I'll speak to Dane [Anderson] quite a bit and he's really helpful."

The Shamrocks' most dangerous bowler last season after snaring 26 wickets from eight matches at 7.38, Chapman also enjoyed one of his best years with the bat.
A maiden A-grade century against Mowbray was backed up with a crucial 57 in the grand final win over South Launceston, prompting first-year skipper Murfet to promote the big-hitter up the order several times this season.
"I'm always having conversations with Twig about getting me back down the order a little bit because I don't see myself as much of a batter, so I've been trying to encourage him to get me back down the order a bit," the Greater Northern Raiders quick said.
"But again, I'm happy to do whatever's needed for the team and if he thinks that's up the order a little bit I'll just do my best and that's all you can do."

Knocked out in the one-day cup semi-finals in three of the past four seasons, Tom Waller's South Launceston is yet to name an XI for Monday's Bass Highway excursion.
Having last played in a heartbreaking loss to Riverside three weeks ago, the Knights are short of match practice but keen to return to the winners' list.
"It seems like we haven't played for a long time and the last time we played was a disappointing loss so we're keen to get back on the bike," Waller said.
"Because it's been such a long time since we've played we're going to have a training session on Saturday on centre wicket and probably pick a team from that.
"[Westbury] are very experienced out there and they know that ground extremely well and there's Dane and he's obviously in some great form.
"I don't think we've been there [the cup final] for a long time and it's a bit of a goal of ours."
Latrobe will host last season's losing finalists Ulverstone in the other semi-final.
