Organisers made the call on Thursday morning to abandon the day's play following a spate of rain, reducing the event to a 36-hole championship to be played on Friday.
Riverside's Isaac Roberts and Alexandria Hansen appear the home club's best chances, while Southern quartet Oscar Burrell, Dylan Backhouse, Hallie Meaburn and reigning girls' champion Mackenzie Wilson are all well-placed to push interstate competitors.
The junior masters follow the junior amateur championships, which were held at Launceston Golf Club earlier this week.
