The Quoiba saleyards are set to be closed and decommissioned by mid 2020 with all sales to transition to Powranna. The move has received mixed reactions from industry stakeholders.
Roberts Livestock General Manager Rafe Bell said a centralised single selling centre would attract more buyers and enhance competition.
"We want to ensure that all market segments are catered for at the centralised facility and are willing to invest capital if required," he said.
Mr Bell said the move would begin in February and is expected to be completed by June.
"We expect that the transition will result in minimal job losses, and that all agents currently operating at the Quoiba saleyards will eventually operate out of Powranna on sale days," he said.
Labor Primary Industries spokesman Shane Broad said said was a "bad move for North-West farmers".
"Farmers will now have to pay more to transport their stock to sale, and they will spend the whole day travelling if they want to buy any stock," he said.

Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association chief executive Peter Skillern said it would require more logistics in getting stock to Powranna but credited Roberts for the notice given.
"I think if we look at what happened in the south it would appear to have the greatest impact on small producers and I can only surmise that it would have the same effect," he said.
Burnie based Livestock Transport Service owner Jim Whitehouse said he believed the distance is going to be a problem for many North-West based farmers.
"It is not a large part of the industry but it is a very important part. It is going to be sadly missed," Mr Whitehouse said.
"They got rid of the sale yard down south and made it hard for people down there and now they are making it hard for people on the North-West Coast."
The decision was announced on Tuesday.
