Star Launceston Tornadoes recruit Keely Froling is set to undergo surgery following a nasty incident on court in the WNBL, but has been assured of escaping without a serious injury that could impact on the NBL1 season ahead.

Scans had revealed Froling sustained a fractured nose and cheek for UC Capitals against Melbourne Boomers after rivals heads collided.
The 23-year-old visited a surgeon on Monday, but the Tornadoes are yet to hear the outcome of the consultation.
Coach Sarah Veale spoke to Froling at the weekend and was happy the injuries would have no long-term effects.
"She was in pretty good spirits because the Caps have locked their finals campaign away now," Veale said.
"She's a tough young lady.
"I don't think she will know for sure until she speaks with the surgeon more.
"They are saying anywhere from two to four [weeks] out, but who knows? She won't be a long time, I don't think."
The injury occured when Froling threw her body into a contest in the last 10 seconds.

She had to wear a ghastly-looking bandage on her face for the rest of the thrilling game.
Veale admired the heroics Froling will bring to the club.
"It takes a lot of contact to do that to someone's cheekbone," she said.
"I'd imagine she was in enormous pain and the character for her to do that is just incredible."
The Canberra-based team levelled with four seconds on the clock and and in a display of courage, Froling continued to play on into overtime.
Not only that, but Froling made a basket to regain the lead before sinking the final shot to clinch a 76-75 win.
"I'm relieved more for her than anything," Veale said.
"We want our players not injured, but we are relieved that she will be back soon."
