Falling victim to visiting bowler Grace Jones, who claimed a career-best 5-19, Tasmania were bowled out for 99 before the Victorians chased it down in lightning fast fashion - three wickets down with more than 25 overs remaining.
Playing their first match in Launceston after seven T20 contests down south, Sunday's match didn't get off to the brightest of starts for the Tasmanians - losing in-form captain Chloe Abel run out without facing a ball.
Melodie Armstrong and South Launceston's Alice McLaughlin were dismissed in the space of three balls as the side were left hanging at 3-5 until Maddison Brooks and Ellie Marsh dug in.

Taking advantage of the 50-over format, the Southern pair batted in tandem for nine overs to get their side on track before Brooks was dismissed for 14 off 35 balls.
Marsh (11 off 62) followed 14 runs later at 5-47 before lower-order batters Sascha Lowry (14), Clare Scott (12) and Kate Sherriff (12) formed a rear-guard action, grinding the side to their final score.
Abel struck early in defence, removing Merinda Hale for two as Clare Scott took Lucy Cripps' wicket overs later to have the side squandering at 2-11.
From there though, it went almost all Victoria's way, as despite losing Molly Ward for 10 to be 3-31, Victoria ran away with the match courtesy of Jasmine Nevins (40) and Tahlia Meier (31).
The duo put on an unbeaten 66 to deny the Tasmanians victory as Scott finished off with the side's best figures - 1-18 off five overs.
