Candice Ayton and Josh Walker-Davis had a tight tussle throughout the afternoon, with Josh playing just well enough without luck to win by one shot.
Gene Ayton won by three against the Scott Summers-skipped rink, securing a game-changing seven late in the game.
Shane Boden got the better of Lachlan Sims, the nine-shot win keeping Invermay's nose in front in the late stages.
Invermay has a mixed bag remaining, a tough game at Longford after the break and then East at home later in the season, they have certainly placed themselves as the team to beat at this stage in the competition.
East Launceston travelled to Westbury without the Springer brothers and was able to secure a two-rink, two-shot overall win.
Westbury kept themselves in the game with some big numbers on the Burke and Frost rinks.
Julian Frost was well-supported by Barry Roberts who dominated from the front and Frost was able to convert some when needed.
They held on to a 10-shot win against the challenging Aaron Page rink. Daniel Burke lined up against Adam Gurr and kept things close, Gurr getting the better of him by five.
Bev Huett was Westbury's best and the East foursome was able to back each other up throughout the day.
David Minns was outstanding against Les Watts with Denis Middap and Wayne Hedley getting the better of Premier first-timer Paul Costello and Tony Keegan who came into the team for the week.
Westbury was chasing two for the overall win on the last end of the game, holding an impressive three in the head before Courtney Hobbs trailed the jack behind the head for one to secure the overall win for East Launceston and keep them in second position on the ladder.

Longford hosted North Launceston and Mark Jones was able to get the better of the "Old North Launceston" rink of Jarrod Howard by two shots.
Joey Thomas, at the helm, defeated the competitive Nick Webb rink by one shot, but it was the Mark Strochnetter rink that did the damage, comfortably outplaying Miller and team to win 40-14.
Cosgrove Park has picked up a handy 10 points at home against Beauty Point which jumps them off the bottom of the ladder as the relegation battle commences.
North Launceston is now in tenth and five points behind Cosgrove, while Westbury is just six points ahead in eighth. Every rink win will become important from this week on.
Cressy, Launceston and Deloraine seem to be the teams fighting it out for an elusive spot in the Premier competition.
