To say this week was a busy one for state politics would be a understatement.

The sudden departure of Premier Will Hodgman has ignited a political shake-up.
The shock announcement has, however, left the door wide open for the unwieldy internet to inject a little bit of humour into the whole situation.
We have collected some of the funnier memes and internet humour to come from the week that has been in state politics.
Pages such as Launceston Memes, Tasty Tasmanian Memes and Craig Farrell memes for transit positive teens.
Facebook group Politically Savvy Memes for Mav Hatin' Teens put their own spin on the premiership race, creating a bracket filled with a number of familiar faces to battle it out in a democratic vote on who should be the next premier.
The bracket features a number of familiar Tassie faces including Mona owner David Walsh, The Launceston Memes page, David Boon and Tasmanian icon Cheepa the Chickenfeed mascot.
Though the position of premier will either go to Peter Gutwein or Michael Ferguson, a third competitor entered the mix in the form of true Tasmania power-broker the Cripps Ambassador.
Sadly, the ambassador played down rumours of his alleged standing, preferring to remain as the people's champion for all things bread-related.
"I look forward to working alongside new leadership to promote Tasmanian-made products, such as our daily bread, Cripps Masterloaf," the ambassador said in a written statement.
Satire page NewExaminer has added its own humour to the mix, stating the next premier would be decided via a Tas Keno draw.
