A Newnham man has been committed for trial in the Supreme Court after pleading not guilty to rape on Wednesday.
Adrian Michael Berg, 40, of Newnham, denied in the Launceston Magistrates Court that he had unlawful sexual intercourse with a woman in January 2019.

Magistrate Sharon Cure committed Mr Berg to the March 16 sittings.
Defence counsel Mark Doyle told the court that Mr Berg had previously pleaded guilty to 10 complaints including driving and property offences.
Ms Cure adjourned the guilty pleas for facts and sentence until February 4, 2020.
A further 10 charges including aggravated burglary and stealing, driving offences and breach of bail were also adjourned for plea until February 4.
Mr Berg was remanded in custody to appear.
