Racing Victoria released the information via Twitter on Wednesday afternoon.
The report stated that the four-year-old mare was currently undergoing veterinary treatment and as a result would miss several days of trackwork.
Mystic Journey is not due to race until the weekend of February 8-9. Her first start this campaign will either be in the C F Orr Stakes at Caulfield or Thomas Lyons Stakes at Elwick.
Her main target is the $5 million All-Star Mile to be run on Saturday March 14 at Caulfield.
With voting for the All-Star Mile opening to the public on Thursday, Trinder advised stewards of the problem so that everyone was fully informed.
