More than two-dozen mainland competitors including two-time Greg Norman Junior Masters winner Andrew Park have entered the 72-hole event, which will get under way on Monday at Launceston Golf Club.
Golf Tasmania's Stuart Eaton said the quality of players competing in the tournament would provide great entertainment for spectators.
"We have a 14-strong contingent from Queensland, with Andrew Park from Burleigh, Mitchell Revie from Hills International and James Goffman from Royal Queensland," Eaton said.
"Levi Sclater from Victoria and NSW's Joshuaa Robards are also likely contenders.
"Local hopefuls include Tasmania Golf Club's Dylan Backhouse and Lachlan White, and North-West Bay's Oscar Burrell."

Entries for the girls' championships have enjoyed a rise on previous years, with Hobart pair Mackenzie Wilson and Hallie Meaburn - the granddaughter of gun golfer Lindy Goggin - among the favourites in a high-quality field.
Mowbray Golf Club's Jorjah Bailey, who won the under-15 Australian schools championship alongside Wilson in 2018, is also expected to do well.
Queensland young gun Haruhi Nakatani and last year's Tamar Valley Junior Cup champion Shakira-Ann Kuys, of South Australia, are among the top interstate competitors.
A peak period for golf will also see Prospect Vale Golf Club host the state women's senior and B-grade amateur championships starting Sunday.
Prospect member and former state amateur champion Tammy Hall looms as the favourite for the 36-hole senior title, however she too will face the threat of interstate competitors.
"Challenges are expected to come from Queensland's Robyn Callaghan and Sharon Thompson from New South Wales," Eaton said.
"The B-grade section is likely to be dominated by Launceston Golf Club's Annette Hibbs, with Prospect Vale's Jackie Rayworth and Anne Kennedy also featuring."
