Sitting at one win and loss after facing New South Wales and Queensland, captain Alan Dengate said the break was disappointing but in the best interests of the side.
"These two games would have been a key for us," he said.

"Obviously it's really frustrating but at the end of the day, Cricket Australia have a duty of care to make sure all players are safe and they deemed the smoke in the air wasn't safe enough for play to commence."
Saddened by the bushfire crisis that has hit the country, the Tasmanians have been raising money by selling stickers at the carnival, which Dengate says has been a success.
"We've sold 50 so far, so it's going really well. It's a really bad time for Australia at the moment so hopefully we can get a few dollars their way."
