Glenda Faye Musicka, 38, and her co-accused Chelsea Faye Prior, 21, each faced one count of stealing on October 7, 2019.
Musicka pleaded guilty to stealing both bottles, despite the prosecution only having evidence of her stealing one bottle of vodka. CCTV footage showed Musicka putting the bottle down her pants.
The prosecution said Musicka admitted to stealing one bottle of the alcohol during her police interview and said she did not see anything else taken from the store.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Magistrate Sharon Cure asked how she could find Musicka guilty if she said she did not see anything else being taken.
Ms Prior pleaded not guilty, claiming she could not remember the incident as she had had a "fair bit to drink".
The prosecution alleged Ms Prior put a bottle of Jagermeister in her handbag.
Musicka was fined $100 and ordered to pay $79.94 compensation to Dan Murphy's.
Ms Prior's matter will go to hearing in the Launceston Magistrates Court on June 25.
