Opening the bowling for the side, which compete in the intellectual disability division of the tournament, the 19-year-old Australian representative opened the bowling, taking 4-9, before backing things up with the bat in by scoring 33 not out.

The strong performance led the side to a cruising nine-wicket victory over New South Wales as Don's Zeb Hovington also picked up a wicket and scored 36 in an 81-run stand with Sheppard.
Aiming to make finals at the carnival for the first time, the Tasmanians were unable to continue their form into their second contest of the day against Queensland, falling by 18 runs.
Sheppard's South Launceston and Australian teammate, leg-spinner Justin Nilon starred, taking 3-15 while Old Beach's Jai Corbett top-scored with 28.
