Owner Anthony Kwong said since opening in 2019, Nitro Ella has grown in both popularity and variety.
"Initially we started with four flavours - now we've got 13 flavours of ice cream including dairy-free and gluten-free flavours," he said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"We've got a lot of followers, originally we thought it would have just been the customers who were going to the shop [Tsing Wah Asian Grocers] who would come down and try it.
"We're trying to serve to different people and their dietary requirements. Making everything fresh and in-house rather than with syrups ... enables us to adjust the sugar levels so they can have a drink tailored to them, as such."
Mr Kwong said Nitro Ella's second year will bring with it plenty of new flavours, including a number of vegan-themed items.
He also hoped to build enough of a unique menu to be considered for Festivale 2021.
