To create a sensual, inviting and playful collection Foley said he drew inspiration from Megan Walch, Robert Dowling and Tom Samek.
Taking inspiration from Dowling's Romanticism portraits, Foley adds a post modern twist to the Renaissance portraiture.
Upon entering the collection the audience is struck by its immense size yet greeted upon closer inspection to find the micro details Foley has placed around the room for the sharp eye to spot.
"There's lots of little details that hopefully people will be able to investigate when they're walking around the space and there may be some that they don't even see," he said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
One such detail is incorporating the word 'begin' in several different languages around the space into his artwork to showcase the infinite ways the word can be expressed.
It opens on Monday at 6pm, accompanied by an interactive performance from Foley's sub-personality Xydep Xydahlia at 6.45pm.
The collection will remain in the QVMAG throughout 2020 and he will continue to evolve it as he adds to the space.
As part of Mona Foma 2020 Foley's sub-personality will reappear on January 19 Foley's from 11am to 1pm for an interactive performance art piece promising a musical element.
