They say all good things must come to an end, but - luckily for us - the end of summer doesn't mean the end of Tasmania's good weather.
In fact, as the seasons slowly meld together, with summer easing into autumn, you will find some on the very best weather in the state.
Now is the perfect time to head into the state's parks and reserves, before the rain arrives and long after the high-summer crowds and temperatures has dissipated.
In this edition we're highlighting some of the best - but little known - parks to add to your list, from the East Coast's natural pools at Douglas-Apsley to the walks surrounding the Franklin-Gordon rivers.
We're also taking you into the densely-wooded and perennially damp Styx Valley where you can wander beneath some of the world's tallest trees.
This magical spot lies just beyond Mount Field National Park, and was luckily spared the devastating bushfires that decimated so much of the south's forests during early 2019.
Having laid witness to how quickly these impressive places can be lost, capturing and protecting them has become critical; so if you find yourself in this part of the state, don't miss the opportunity to see them for yourself.
Now is the perfect time to head into the state's parks and reserves, before the rain arrives and long after the high-summer crowds and temperatures has dissipated.
And now is also the perfect time to fill up your calendar with the wealth of events on offer across the state.
On Sunday, February 22 Launceston will play host to the annual Symphony under the Stars, the city's popular outdoor symphony. Tickets remain free; however, must be booked in advance so make sure you don't miss out on this epic outdoor concert.
The musical offerings will also continue with Spiegeltent Hobart returning to the city's waterfront. This multi-day arts event is part comedy, part music and a dash of cabaret. Highly popular and lots of fun, get in early as tickets sell quickly.
Tasmania is putting on its best show at this time of year, from arts and culture to outdoor fun, so don't miss out on joining in the fun while you're travelling Tassie.
