The Van Diemens Street Rod Club's US and Aussie Muscle Car Show will cruise into UTAS Stadium on Sunday.
The club was first established in Launceston in in 1972, and the show - formerly known as USA Day - is now in its 30th year.
Club member Grant Sutton said though the show would shine a light on US and Australian muscle cars, it was open to all makes and models alongside motorbikes.
"Muscle cars are the sports version of a road-going car," he said.
"The sport started in the US, hence there's a lot of hot rods and modified cars there."
Mr Sutton said a major drawcard at this year's event would be the unveiling of three hot rods never before seen by the public.
Prizes for entrants include people's choice and trophies for the top 10.
A raffle will take place, with the major prize a wheelbarrow full of automotive and household products to go to the winner. Entertainment will include band Skooters, a Lego competition, and trade displays.
Funds raised from the event will go toward selected bushfire relief appeals.
