Tasmania Fire service responded to the fire on Monday.
The main fire has burned more than 6600 hectares.
On Wednesday, Tasmania Police said it was investigating the possibility of a number of fires during the past months being deliberately lit.

The Fingal community is "absolutely horrified" about a number of allegedly deliberately lit fires in the area, Break O'Day mayor Mick Tucker says.

"They've put other people at risk," he said. "I implore all the people within our big family, if you know something or know someone who does, to get in touch with police."
Investigators are urging anyone in the community with information about who is responsible for these fires, or who saw anyone acting suspiciously around the time the fire started, to come forward.
