Those affected by bushfires in the Break O'Day municipality have been granted access to funds: $250 per adult and $125 per child and up to $1000 per family.
These funds are provided to help cover the costs of immediate essentials fire victims may need.
Federal Minister for Natural Disaster and Emergency Management David Littleproud said the payments will help those worst-hit by the fires get through thew next few days.
"This can help families buy food, clothing or medicine while they wait for the all clear to go home," he said.
"We're closely monitoring the situation and will make further assistance available if need be."
The Fingal area remains on high alert as Tasmanian Fire Service crews continue to battle multiple blazes in the area.
Premier Will Hodgman said those wanting to apply for grants can do so in person at the Fingal Neighbourhood House.
"Applicants are asked to bring photo identification with proof of address as this will be used to confirm eligibility for the grant," he said.
