Punters partook in a plethora of beer, wine and liquor selections on tap from local producers.
This is the second year in a row that BeerFest has sold out, according to director James Harding who was excited about 2019's success.
"It was a really great vibe with a great turnout," he said.
"We released 100 tickets online at 6pm because it sold out and we added 100 tickets at the door adding up to more than 10,000 tickets."
"That's a record for us in one day for all our events nationally - we're really excited."
Mr Harding said it was the number of children's activities, combined with the increased food and beverage selections on hand that aided the record-breaking attendance.
For circus trio Set 3, this was their first time performing at BeerFest.
The Ulverstone-based group has performed at other events this year, but said they were excited to be a part of BeerFest.
The event even attracted international visitors, with Birte Pfennig, Darja Benne and their children enjoying the social atmosphere.
Ms Pfennig and her children were staying in Tasmania for six months, visiting their grandparents while the Benne's joined them for their first summer Christmas.
"New Years in Australia is very different ... it's not my first time in Australia for New Years and we've been to BeerFest before," Ms Pfennig said.
"The kids really liked Christmas here."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Mr Harding said BeerFest's key to success with both family and adult audiences was it's natural flow from on to another.
"We've got this nice kids area for them to migrate to and play," he said.
"Parents can still enjoy themselves and have a drink and once the 9.30 fireworks hit everyone leaves and we become adults only."
But New Years is a time for both celebrations and affirmations, with many people to reflecting on what they wish to accomplish in 2020.
For Set 3 performer Esther Shurley, it was to exercise more with her mother.
Mr Harding also aimed to exercise more in the coming year, but also to drink more quality beers.
