Last year's semi-final rematch between Hobart Hurricanes and Melbourne Stars saw the same result, as the visitors conquered once again - albeit in polar opposite fashion.

In a stop-start game interrupted by several rain delays, Nathan Coulter-Nile was named man of the match for his 2-14 off two over in the Stars' bowling innings.
Winning the toss and electing the bowl, the Stars were clinical from the outset, dismissing D'Arcy Short with just the third ball of the innings, mere moments after the announcement of his Australian international recall.
Taking on his fresh role at the top of the order, Simon Milenko combined with new partner, Caleb Jewell, to steady the ship for three overs before the former was caught by keeper Peter Handscomb off the bowling of Coulter-Nile.

First pulled off the ground at the five-over mark following a series of nearby lightning strikes and fast-flowing rain, play resumed 20 minutes later, reduced to an 18-over contest.
Met after the break with spin twins Adam Zampa and Sandeep Lamichhane, Jewell and skipper Ben McDermott set about creating a platform for their big hitters in David Miller, George Bailey and James Faulkner, bringing up the team's 50 in the ninth over.
McDermott fell to Steyn for 17, bringing the bowler's South African teammate, Miller, to the crease before another rain interruption delayed their contest four balls into the 10th over.
Play looked unlikely to resume following the lengthy break but an 11-over contest ensued, giving the Hurricanes eight more balls with Miller and Jewell dismissed consecutively by Steyn and Coulter-Nile.
Some late hitting from Bailey saw the home side post 5-69, which initially bumped the target up to 80 through Duckworth-Lewis.
Faulkner's first over rocked the Stars, creating a chance before claiming the scalps of Nic Maddinson and Mitch Larkin leg before wicket in consecutive balls.
The hat-trick went begging by the slightest of margins as Peter Handscomb and Marcus Stoinis set about chasing down the side's total, the latter floored by a Riley Meredith bouncer in the fourth over.
Able to resume after a helmet change, Stoinis continued ticking over the strike with his former Australian teammate, ramping up the aggression with trademark boundaries before Meredith brought about his dismissal.
Brought off by rain again, both captains met with umpires, pleading their cases before the game was called in the Stars' favour, ahead of the Duckworth-Lewis par score by four runs.
