The bottle shop at the Gunners Arms pub will close on January 7 due to proprietor Ian Waller's "ongoing health issues".

Mr Waller said the other sites would still provide the range of products that customers at the Gunners Arms had come to expect.
"Liquor Stax, one of Australia's largest independent retail liquor groups, would continue at the All Year Round and Riverside outlets," he said.

"It has been a pleasure to keep so many customers happy at Gunners over the three years I have been there and many customers have turned into friends over that time. That is one thing I will really miss."
The "high level" of market competition meant Mr Waller was unable to find anyone to take on maintaining the bottleshop, so other uses were sought.
A development application was lodged to convert the bottle shop into a F45 Gym was knocked back by the City of Launceston council in 2019.
Osteostrong is expected to open its first Tasmanian location at the site.
