The league's five A-grade clubs will pitch in to fundraise during the cup with Launceston driving a mental health campaign for Beyond Blue and Riverside getting on the front foot for Breast Cancer Network Australia.
The Lions will ditch their traditional forest green kits for sky blue over the course of the four-day tournament and will raise funds via collection tins, online donations and a buck-for-boundary initiative.
"I think every year you try and think of a way you can help raise some money for someone," Lions skipper Alistair Taylor said.
"The club came up with an initiative for $1 for every four hit and $3 for every six hit and we put it to every other club and they've agreed to participate which is fantastic.
"I think sport's a good way to start the [mental health] conversation and you never know, people at your own club and other clubs could be struggling so we've just done this to get some more awareness out there.
"It's such a big thing in the community now, especially with men, and I don't think anyone talks about it enough so hopefully if a couple of people can get something out of it, that's our job done."

At Riverside all eyes will be on skipper Tom Garwood as his employer prepares to stump up $1 for BCNA for every run he scores over the course of the tournament.
Telstra licensee Andrew Doyle backed Garwood, whose team will wear pink guernseys during the tournament, to spend lots of time at the crease over the weekend.
"Tom manages one of our stores in town so we're happy to support him as one of our team members and it's a great cause," Doyle said.
"It puts a bit of pressure on Tom to score some runs so we're after some big innings from him."
The Blues have made the past four T20 cup finals, progressing to the Statewide Cup in 2015-16 and 2016-17.
MOWBRAY will get its first taste of T20 cricket in two years on Thursday night when it began its campaign against Launceston and unsurprisingly will be one of the youngest teams in action.
With coach James Storay injured and John LeFevre unavailable on Sunday much will be left to 22-year-old captain Luke Scott, yet the opener is unfazed.
The Eagles will regain Raiders pair Spencer Hayes and Ben Spinks for the cup and have already proved capable of causing an upset.
"We've got Spencer Hayes ... Will Dakin's been opening the batting, he's our second leading run-scorer at the moment and Sam Canny's come on wicketkeeping-wise so there's a good nucleus of young players," Scott said.

WESTBURY will attempt to keep a stable side in an effort to improve on last year's fourth-placed finish.
Shamrocks skipper Dan Murfet will pick one XI for each of Thursday, Saturday and Sunday and has predicted a carnival atmosphere for each of the two days.
"I think it's fantastic, it's a really good change from previous years having it on the Thursday nights," he said.
"It gives an opportunity for the people that work a lot to still come and play which hasn't been the case in previous years. I think it'll have a really good feel and hopefully there'll be plenty of people about."
SOUTH LAUNCESTON will be without dangerous opener Sisitha Jayasinghe but will still likely boast one of the hardest-hitting sides in the competition.
"We'll be looking to be competitive," leading quick Josh Freestone said.
"You always go out there to win but obviously a lot of other clubs have good players as well and I think a few coastal boys might be coming down to play as well so it'll be a good even competition."
