But, despite his 18 wins, $1.1 million in stake-earnings and two Tasmanian horse-of-the-year awards, there is one little thing missing from his record.
He's never won over 1400m at Mowbray.
The ageless veteran - he's now nine - is a good chance to do something about that anomaly in Wednesday night's $100,000 Conquering Stakes.
Hellova Street has tackled the Mowbray 1400m course three times for three close seconds.
Two of those defeats have been in the Conquering, behind Admiral in 2016 and I'm Wesley in 2017.
The other was in the Autumn 3YO Classic in 2014 when he went down to Inner Warrior, a rising star whose career was cut short by two bleedings attacks.
I'm Wesley stands in his way again this year but Hellova Street meets his old rival 1.5kg better for getting beaten less than a length in the Newmarket Handicap.
And, Hellova Street should have finished a little closer, as he ran into traffic half way up the home straight when Jason Maskiell was angling for a run.
"It was an outstanding effort with 59kg," trainer Scott Brunton said. "I was very pleased with him, as were all the owners.
"He's a once-in-a-lifetime horse and he'll be right in the market for all the weight-for-age races again this season."
Although he has a good record in Victoria, including two wins at Flemington, Brunton said interstate racegoers had never seen the best of Hellova Street.
"He's raced well on the mainland but he's never travelled good so he's really raced at only about 80 percent over there," the trainer said.
"When he's trained here, it's all systems go; the jets are on.
"He's only having a campaign in Tasmania this year, that will be his lot."
HORSES TO WATCH
STILL A STAR looks the horse to beat in the other feature race, the $50,000 3YO Trophy.
The Bill Ryan-trained filly has returned from a spell with two dominant wins and has an edge in race fitness on last season's two-year-old of the year Mystical Pursuit who is resuming over 1400m.
GET THE TRIP could get punters off to a good start in the opening race.
The Stephen Shaw-trained three-year-old was backed as if unbeatable when resuming but copped a nasty bump on home turn.
She battled on well to finish third behind Tiltherewarsyou and Ascot Lad.
PENNSTOCK is an interesting runner in the second race. The 2018 Tasmanian Derby placegetter is resuming after a long layoff for new trainer Scott Brunton who will be keen to make a quick impression with the talented five-year-old.
