Mrs Wegman will graduate with a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Tasmania at Albert Hall on Friday afternoon.
She said the unconditional support of her whole family was what enabled her to earn the degree.
"My family is my rock and without my husband Craig being like a solo dad for three years, I would never have been able to put all the extra time and effort into my education," she said.
"Without their support and working together as a team, this would never have been possible and for that I am truly grateful and blessed to have had them by my side."
Mrs Wegman had a passion for nursing and midwifery since the birth of her first child 14 years ago. This passion saw her retire after 20 years of hairdressing to work as a theatre hospital aide midway through her studies.
Though the decision to pursue her passion as a mature-aged student while working part time with a family was challenging, it was something she was extremely proud of.
"Juggling full time studies, work and family life required exceptional organisational skills, ensuring everyone got to school, sports, work and extracurricular commitments" she said.

"Things did not always go according to plan - and there were tears - but this reminded me I am still just human."
"Nursing is not just acquiring degrees, it requires lifelong learning paramount in providing each patient with the best experience and care," she said.
Though proud of the achievement, Mrs Wegman said it couldn't have been done without the support of her family.
"As a mother and a role model for my children, furthering my education has allowed them to realise if you work hard, anything is possible," she said.
"However, while my name will be on my certificate, graduation day will be as much my family's day as mine."
