Ulverstone is standing firm in its desire to remain the North-West Coast's Women's Super League representative despite the obvious challenge laid down by Devonport Strikers.

The Strikers recently brought Ulverstone WSL coach Mal Gorrie and president Alastair Ollington into its women's program as it targets a 2021 entry, with Ollington's replacement Sam Kingshott this week saying his club was "feeling positive" about staying.
He believed teams should be working together and floated the idea of two teams from the Coast in the future.
"I am hopeful all Football Tasmania affiliated clubs could continue to work towards developing women's football pathways to one day provide the opportunity for two highly competitive teams to be in the Women's Super League competition on the North-West Coast,'' he said.
"The club is (feeling) positive of retaining a Women's Super League team into the future."
