Brendan Danial Tiernan pleaded guilty to three counts of making a false document, three counts of using a forged document, two counts of making a false Commonwealth document and two counts of using a forged Commonwealth document.
In the Launceston Magistrates Court on Tuesday afternoon, Tiernan's defence lawyer sought to adjourn the matter, which was due to proceed to sentencing, to push for his client to be assessed for a home detention order.

A Community Corrections report prepared for the court detailed Tiernan's ongoing health issues and his role as a carer for his mother.
"My reaction to this report is that if home detention is available, that will be pursued," Magistrate Sharon Cure said.
Magistrate Cure noted that Community Corrections would need to prepare a further document dealing with the suitability of premises for Tiernan's potential home detention.
"There are many reasons why he might avoid actual detention," she said.
The matter was adjourned until February 3, 2020.
