Helen Van Der Vlist and Suzanne Thorp started the group in 2000 because they loved craft and wanted a group to be able to include the community.
Over the next 19 years the group would meet every Thursday in the school term.
The 22 member group held a vote on which organisation the money would be donated to, before choosing the Empty Stocking Appeal to support the region's community.
"We put money in a box every week, for a couple of dollars towards our teas and coffees and morning teas and crafts that we make and it has just added up over the time," Ms Van Der Vlist said.
"Because we're finishing we thought we'd donate it and it (Empty Stocking) is a really good support for four different branches."
She said for 19 years it had been a social outing for everyone to get together whilst they crafted.
RELATED STORIES:
The pair agreed it was sad to be closing a chapter on the group but it was time as their children moved away and they looked to travel, but they would still try to meet up.
Each week the group completed a range of crafts and workshops on various sewing techniques, patch works, quilling, cards, embroidery, cushions and bags.
Mrs Thorp said it had been a wonderful experience and its final crafting activity was Christmas cards.
"We did a flier and walked around Mowbray, because we were situated there at the time, and then we got different ladies from the community," she said.
"Over the years I suppose it's been our friends and other people we just meet up with and mention it and suddenly they all come to craft.
"It's been a great support group and we've become really great friends."
The appeal has raised $27,092 so far.
Every dollar raised will go towards Launceston City Mission, The Salvation Army, The Benevolent Society and St Vincent De Paul.
