Three injured hikers have been successfully rescued from a hut on Cradle Mountain, after severe weather conditions hampered efforts on Friday and Saturday.

A patch of clear skies on Sunday morning came just in time for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter to evacuate the trio, according to police.
The helicopter reached Kitchen Hut about 8.30am and successfully rescued a 45-year-old man, a 36-year-old woman and a 28-year-old woman.
The trio had been suffering from hypothermia after getting trapped in bad weather on the Overland track.
The hikers were taken to Dove Lake car park and then driven to the Launceston General Hospital for ongoing treatment, arriving about 11.30am.
They remain in a stable condition.
In a statement, the hikers thanked all those involved in the rescue.
"We express our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in our care and rescue - Tasmania Police, State Emergency Service and Tasmanian Ambulance personnel and fellow walkers," they said.
"Special thanks to paramedics Andy, Hamish and Derrick."
Police said the event was a timely reminder of the need to carry personal emergency communication equipment or satellite phones.
"Without the assistance of other walkers who possessed such equipment the matter could have resulted in more serious injuries or fatalities."
